Scenario:
You have been tasked by your supervisor to prepare all office computers for installing and learning
new software. In order to complete this task, you must first discover how to identify the operating
system of each computer and to navigate within the operating system. Beginning with your own
computer, use the steps below to achieve this goal. Then identify your plan for updating all office
computers per your supervisor’s request.
Purpose:
To engage you in the process of achieving the goal of knowledge acquisition regarding your computer
system, you will develop a plan to research the type of system you have, prioritizing your plan
according to the questions listed above. Your process should demonstrate self-awareness, planning
and prioritizing when establishing and carrying out the goal. The goals and plans to achieve this
knowledge should be well developed and in depth. The assignment is in Standard English and
demonstrates superior organization.
Based on what you learned regarding your own computer system, be sure to also include your
prioritized plan for preparing all the office computers for installing and learning new software as
directed by your supervisor.

important to understand what your operating system is, and what it can or cannot support.

You will need to include a bit of research to determine what is meant by the RAM, OS, and Processor
Speed. There are some wonderful YouTube videos that explain these. So please take some time to
research these topics before you attempt to complete this assignment.
Also, ensure you either attend the live seminar where your Professor will explain this in detail as well.
If you cannot make it to the live seminar, please watch the recording and reach out to your professor
with any questions you may have.
Your Paper must be between 2–3 pages in length; that will meet the requirements in step 3.
Here are the paper requirements:
a. Include a cover page, separate page with the title “Reference,” and at least two (2)
pages for the body of the paper (this includes the screen shot). The screen shot is
included in the body of the paper. The completed paper will be a total of 4 – 5 pages.
b. Use Font Times New Roman or Arial 12 pt. Double spacing is preferred but not
required.
c. Place the screen shot below the cover page.
d. The paper is due prior to the closing of the unit.
e. In your paper you must demonstrate knowledge of this week’s topic(s). Your goal is to
demonstrate to your Professor that you understand this material.
The paper must be written in your own words. APA style formatting is not required for this paper. If,
however, you include material from the web, cite all references used and include them on the
References page.
